Securing your data is top of many people’s agendas recently. Thankfully, SWTOR offers 2-Factor Authentication. This can be done via the app. But if you don’t want yet-another app on your phone, or don’t own one, then you can achieve this via Authy on your computer.
SWTOR User Interface
There is much more to come on the interface posts. However, I have prioritised the Character Panel in my SWTOR beginners guides, as you can spend a lot of time there. Here’s my overview post, a detailed look at combat statistics and your character’s Force Alignment.
SWTOR Gearing and Outfits
As you travel the galaxy far, far away (which I always hear in Shrek’s voice), there are two things of utmost importance: how you perform in combat and how you look while you’re saving people. Heros must look the part, after all. Here are my guides on gearing up for combat and how to use the outfits tabs to create that perfect look.
Companion Influence
From the first planet you start on, companions begin to join your story. How they react to you affects what is called companion influence. But why should you try to improve that, and how do you go about making them like you more? Well, here you go:
Crafting and Gathering
I will expand the tutorial guides here over the coming months. A huge thank you to CelynTheRaven for this awesome guide to gathering crafting materials in SWTOR.
Fleet Maps
Both Republic and Empire Fleets are full of features, vendors and missions. So here’s my guide on what you can find there and where they are. If you get lost, just enjoy the detour!
Credits
A quick web search will show an abundance of “how to make credits” posts. Well, sometimes the key to having more credits is being wiser on where you spend them. So here’s my savings guide!
Events
SWTOR holds many different types of things which you could call “events”. Conquest happens weekly, some happen once every couple of months and Life Day happens once a year. Come join in the community side of SWTOR as well as enjoying the story and action! Events I have yet to write about (but hope to):
- Relics of the Gree
- Swoop Gang Racing Event
- Nar Shaddaa Nightlife
- Pirate Incursion (Dantooine)
Galactic Solutions Industries (GSI)
GSI Missions unlock from Level 50, starting from a quest-giver on fleet. Once you have your Macrobinoculars and Seeker Droid, GSI missions take you to various planets to research and explore. Combat may be required. Scrub that, exploration is dangerous, take weapons. And back up.
Taking Screenshots
Your characters have their own stories, choices, connections and journeys. Taking screenshots is a fab way to save your favourite memories, while also providing fodder for sharing on your favourite Social Media platforms. Here are a couple of guides on making the most of your SWTOR screenshots.
Thinking About Trying SWTOR?
Then stop thinking and just go sign up! You can play a LOT for free. If it helps, check out my SWTOR Free-to-Play Review, then get started!
