As I am developing my own LOTRO Mounts database, what better way to start than to focus initially on those available through Festivals and other events? So my aim through 2022 is to ensure I have all of them properly set up, starting here with the LOTRO Spring Festival Mounts.
Each steed has a description, key information and a page you can click/tap through to learn more. And I’ve organised them all neatly into the types of currency you need to acquire each one.
As I’ve still very much building this system, if you think of a feature that you and others would find helpful, feel free to chat to me on Social Media about it.
You’re welcome, enjoy!

Elk of the Spring Wood

→ Spring Festival
→ Elk
While the debate may rage about the lore-appropriateness of Elk mounts in LOTRO, they are undoubtedly among the most popular. And this dark Elk shows why.
Steed of the Forest Spring

→ Spring Festival
→ Horse/Pony
A chocolate-brown horse or pony adorned with many green leaves and golden-yellow vine patterns. Hmm, chocolate.
Steed of the Jester

→ Spring Festival
→ Horse/Pony
A slim, mid-brown horse with a black mane. The "barding" is orange and red bunting. Oh, and you have to pay 300 flowers for it!

Honey Goat

→ Spring Festival
→ Goat
The Honey Goat was introduced in 2021 Spring Festival with a new Seasonal Instance called Bees Big Business with Grimbeorn. Take honey everywhere you go now!

Blue Roan Steed

→ Spring Festival
→ Horse/Pony
→ @Samuraiko
An ash-grey horse/pony with a black mane and tail. Its back is decorated with an earthy kind of green pattern that is edged in silver. A similar pattern of material can be seen around the base of its neck.
Lasgalen Spring Steed

→ Spring Festival
→ Horse/Pony
Beautiful pale grey steed with many large, white flowers, a deep green caparison and layers of leather down the neck and nose.
Lissuin Steed

→ Spring Festival
→ Horse/Pony
→ LOTROwiki
The normal LOTRO Mount matches the Spring Lissuin War-Steed Cosmetics (which you can still get without MC). Both main pieces are like swaying, leafy shapes, which gives this horse/pony a distinctive feeling.
Simbelmynë Steed

→ Spring Festival
→ Horse/Pony
→ @marcrubia
Well before I ever played LOTRO, this horse's adornments are strikingly different to others I have earned since I started. Instead of one big caparison, the Simbelmynë Steed has triangles of materials held together by metal rings! Check it out!
Springtime Steed

→ Spring Festival
→ Horse/Pony
→ @marcrubia
A yellowy-coloured horse with a bright yellow (or golden depending on the lighting) caparison, which is broken up by dark green edging, leaves and vines.
Steed of Ethuil

→ Spring Festival
→ Horse/Pony
A simple yet elegant "nod" to Spring here. A lovely pale-coloured Spring Festival mount, the material over its back has large leaves and delicate flower edging.
Steed of New Bloom

→ Spring Festival
→ Horse/Pony
→ @valkyrique
A white mount with a simple, green saddle and caparison, and its neck is ringed with matching deep green strips and edged with gold.
Steed of Spring Gardens

→ Spring Festival
→ Horse/Pony
→ @valkyrique
A paint-horse in mid-brown and white and draped with a silvery-white caparison, which is edged in gold and pale green. Winding golden patterns are featured at the bottom of the caparison, adding a touch of class.
Steed of the Moon Moth

→ Spring Festival
→ Horse/Pony
Complementing the Moon Moth cosmetic outfits, this horse/pony has moth-like wings draped over its back. I normally dislike masks for mounts, but I really love this one.
Travelling Goat of the Mountain Meadow

→ Spring Festival
→ Goat
When LOTRO introduce goats in festivals it always gets people's attention. The Travelling Goat of the Mountain meadow, with so many beautiful colours, definitely does that!

TL;DR A Huge Range of Spring Festival Mounts
There are enough horses, goats and elks here for one a year that LOTRO has been alive and that’s taking into account there were no new Spring Festival mounts in 2022! The number of these that will be available for Spring Leaves will increase over the years now that SSG has stopped moving older mounts to Mithril Coins only. Hopefully you found one or 10 mounts above to add to your collection!
