While Farmers Faire is a time for celebrating food, it is also towards the end of Summer. So, past upper body pieces like the Robe of the Blazing Firmament have often been heavier or warmer-looking. The Surcoat of Nárië and Surcoat of the Yield are good examples of this.
Robe of the Blazing Firmament Description
It is bad that my favourite bit of this robe is the belt? Only one MMO out of the three I've played had belt slots for outfits and LOTRO isn't it. I think this is a shame because a lot of newer cosmetics have had great "faux belts".
Anyway, the warm-yet-baggy robe features wheat motifs with the sun and/or moon imagery behind them. The shoulders and seams are in a rich terracotta-like colour which stands out against the mossy-green of much of the rest.
I'm just glad we can see this in the daylight. LOTRO's previews were all during the in-game nighttime.
I suspect that was intentional!
Cuffs and Collar
The cuffs and collar have a repeated pattern, which I had thought was Aztec, but I think is just design. As much of the robe is textured, rather than patterned, I like the use of the border here.
Legs
The lower part of the robe continues the colour scheme, but features flowers rather than leaves. This is also true of the outer sleeves. But the flower design isn't in-your-face, but subtle and gentle.
Probable Bug on Some Male Characters
I've provided screenshots below of this robe worn by different races. Although I Play Female Characters 99% of the time, I try to fairly represent people here!
You'll notice there is no male "big person" - Elf (either kind), Man or Beorning. That's because I have encountered a bug on those race/gender combinations only. Once it's fixed, or I find a cause, I'll add one to the gallery. Thanks!
