It's good to see that the Mittens of Icy Expeditions are in a set you can acquire with 
Yule Festival tokens. It has been a while since LOTRO brought in the Knitted Frostbluff Mitts of Comfort, which were only available for 
Festivity Tokens.
There's not much to describe here, apart from the fact that they share the same fur edging from both the Coat of Icy Expeditions and, in fact, the Steed of Icy Expeditions.
As well as the purple knitting, there is a thin band around the wrist, presumably some form of early elastic to keep it firmly attached to your hand while lobbing snowballs.
