Now I've put Myrlas, one of my Hobbits, as the main image for the Tunic of the Forest-spirit, I'm not sure it does the item justice.
If you see N'wyn Glinmaethor below is looks much more comfy and better-fitting. This is also true of my River Hobbits.
The tunic is made of a sort of hybrid material I think, somewhere between wool and traditional threads. Maybe it's reminiscent of the material used in the Surcoat of the Yield. But that is where any similarities end.
Tunic of the Forest-spirit Description
In lovely crèmes and browns appropriate for Fall Festival, it has vertical stripes (or bendy ones for Myrlas!) and is done up smartly with neat, shiny buttons. The rest of the upper body features two layers for the sleeves and each side of an "over jacket" rounding off over your hips.
Below the Belt, Appropriately, I Mean
A well-textured faux belt looks an integral part of the design rather than just stitched on, leads to a somewhat heavier-looking lower portion of the tunic. While it feels a bit "carpety", that's just because I don't know the right terminology.
It's autumn and therefore heavier clothes make sense. It's quite busy, in terms patterns, but I think that can be overlooked because the top half is much simpler - in a good way.
About the Trousers
My only regret are the striped trousers but you can cover those up with other footwear if the Boots of the Forest-spirit aren't to your liking.
At least they don't feel like PJs, which was what we thought years ago when the Sunflower Tunic and Trousers came out.

How Well Does It Dye?
It...doesn't, much. The edges/seams sort-of do. In case you've not browsed the other items in the set yet - those that do dye soften the colour. So if you want pink, go Shire Plum. If you want blue, go Sea Blue.
When I played with paler colours, they didn't really show up.
There's something about the last couple of festival cosmetics, where we've not been allowed to dye the main parts of the outfit. Thankfully for this particular tunic, I think I can make it work.
