Feathers have made appearances at Fall Festival before and in the Boots of the Forest-spirit they make an understated return. I said "understated", because this is the only item with feathers in the whole set.
Boots of the Forest-spirit Description
Footwear appears to be getting a lot of love from the LOTRO designers lately, and it's good to see some well-made boots now.
These looks sturdy and are made from pretty thick material - leather if you don't mind that. Or, if you'd rather protect animal, then you can think it's simply many layers of woven material covered in wax.
Cords tie them up, and grey feathers warm your ankles as they stick up out of each boot.
How Well Do They Dye?
Not much in this set dyes - or rather, not much of each piece takes a dye.
A little bit of the seam does, in the case of the boots. So it's good as a highlight, but nothing else. And pick a striking colour as the material tones down the brightness of your dye.

Racial Variances
I don't very often do this, but sometimes boots do look a bit different between races. This is especially true of short vs tall races. So, while I was doing the Tunic of the Forest-spirit, I took pics for the boots too.
