FFXIV Dawntrail Hunt Targets

FFXIV Dawntrail Hunts Beginner Guide | Dawn Hunts Target Locations Maps and info!

There are certain consistent features in FFXIV expansions, and the Hunt is one of them. In this first guide on Dawntrail Hunts, I’ll look at how you can unlock them, then get you started on Beginner Dawn Hunt marks. It’s so great they pay you for your bounty hunting with nuts, isn’t it? Either life is cheap, or those sacks of nuts are the most valuable things next to summoning crystals!

Let’s get hunting, shall we?

What is the Hunt Board?

On the off-chance you’re new and auto-levelled to L90 to start from Dawntrail, or you’ve never done it before here’s a quick summary.

The Hunt Board contains batches (called “bills”) of enemies in a kind of “Most Wanted” format. They commonly come in three tiers – for Dawntrail it’s “Beginner”, “Intermediate” and “Elite”. The first two change daily, the Elite Mark is once per week.

There are special group hunts, but the ones on the Hunt Board are usually soloable, assuming you have the level and gear to beat the enemy, anyway.

I Still Have Yesterday’s or Last Week’s Bills!

That’s fine! You can complete those in your Key Items still and then go and pick up new ones on the same day if you want. Having a FF14 session chasing hunt targets can be pretty relaxing.

How to Unlock Dawntrail Hunts

  1. Pick up the quest Unlocking Quest A New Dawn, A New Hunt. You obtain this up from the Wing of Protection Scout in Tuliyollal (X:11.9, Y:13.7)
  2. Speak to Bol Agaw by the Hunt Board (X:13.7, Y:13.6) to continue and complete the quest.
  3. You will now have Beginner Dawn Hunt Mark Bills you can take on. These are Level 90-93 targets.

1. Dawn Hunt Unlock Quest

Location: (X:11.9, Y:13.7)

It’s a pretty short conversation but do take your time to read the dialog anyway. It’s part of the Dawntrail experience, after all.

2. Speak to Bol Agaw

Location: (X:13.7, Y:13.6)

The Hrothgar by the board is your next – and future – contact. He is always stationed by the Dawn Hunt board. He never sleeps, he never eats. But he is definitely alive. Probably.

3. Start Hunting

That’s all you need to do to start hunting. Pick up Beginner Dawn Hunt mark bills each day you play from this location in Tuliyollal:

Beginner Dawn Hunt Targets

Here are the targets I’ve snaffled so far in the Beginner section. These are found in Urqopacha and Kozama’uka and spread between the two halves of each. Level ranges are L90-93, with most at max level 92.

There are currently 24 Targets here. More are on the way!

Alpaca

Why the Alpacas were included in the Dawn Hunt’s list of top threats to civilization, I can only guess. Though if I were to guess…I’d blame Wuk Lamat.

Wuk Lamat says: So I'm to chase down a fluffy, spitting demon... and that somehow proves that I'm fit to rule.

You would think the Pelupelu knew how to manage their herds themselves, without hunters being sent from Tuliyollal to kill them.

Where to Find Alpacas

Note: not all Alpacas you see on the hillsides can be attacked. The ones you can are East of Wachunpelo in Urqopacha.

Approx Coordinates: X:14,Y:37

Nearest Aetheryte:
Wachunpelo (X:28, Y:13.2)

Bandercoeurl

In case you were wondering what a cross between the Coeurl of La Noscea and the Bandersnatch of Dravania might look like, here’s the Bandercoeurl!

Well, to use a term from inside FFXIV, mayhap the Coeurl part is from Ocelots in the local area.

Where to Find Bandercoeurls

In northern Urqopacha, but way South of Ciblu’s Coffee Grounds.

They are roughly in the same place as Mountain Bears.

Approx Coordinates: X:20.5, Y:17.7

Nearest Aetheryte:
Wachunpelo X:28, Y:13.2

Barbmole

If you thought the spikes on the Hedgemole were bad, the Barbmole’s look like they could break bones, not just scratch you!

But it is one of a few species with cousins in Eorzea. Just put down the green pests in the same way too.

Where to Find Barbmoles

They are in a rough water droplet-shaped area of land East of Ciblu’s Coffee Grounds in Urqopacha. It’s marked by the different heights of the hills.

I thought I spotted them elsewhere, but there should be more moles than you need here.

Area: Urqopacha, Ciblu’s Coffee Grounds

Approx Coordinates: X:22.5, Y:11.5

Nearest Aetheryte:
Wachunpelo X:28, Y:13.2

Bloodsucker

Just in case you weren’t aware why this creature needed putting down, it’s called a Bloodsucker for obvious reasons. In a side quest for the giants around here, you’re tasked with finding a particularly large one too. So…enjoy that.

Where to Find

The main area for these is just West of Naryor Gorna (where the Molten Phoebad are).

As well as the main area here, there are two or three Bloodsuckers that greet you when you first enter the Giant’s part of Urqopacha. That’s East of Worlar’s Echo and you’ll find those wee darlings around X:33.8, Y:33.8.

FFXIV Fate Involved in FATE

  1. ⇒ So Long, Suckers!

Area: Urqopacha (South), Naryor Gorna

Approx Coordinates: X:30.5, Y:28 and X:33.8, Y:33.8

Nearest Aetheryte:
Worlar’s Echo, X:30.7, Y:34.1

Flint

Flint are a type of bomb that appears made of stone, hence the name.

I guess it’s time for “Flint-stones, hunt the Flint-stones“. You’re welcome.

Where to Find Flints

In the wider area of land, before it narrows on the approach to the dungeon Worqor Zormor.

Assuming you’ve done the MSQ up to this point, then the area around the path to Worqor Zormor is rammed with Flint. I think you can avoid most, but I wouldn’t put much gil on avoiding them all without flight or stealth!

Area: Urqopacha (South), near Worqor Zormor.

Approx Coordinates: X:17, Y:30

Nearest Aetheryte:
Worlar’s Echo, X:30.7, Y:34.1

Hammerhead Crocodile

Just when you think most of the critters are different forms of pre-existing enemies in FFXIV, up pops a Hammerhead Crocodile. I really hope that’s not actually a Hammerhead Shark-Crocodile cross!

Hammerhead Crocodile Skin

This is one of the early region sources of skins for leatherworkers. You could farm the critters for their skins, or you could hammer FATEs in the area and trade the Bicolor Gemstones at Ok’hanu for them.

Hammerhead Crocodile Skin Tooltip

Where to Find Hammerhead Crocodiles

In northern Kazama’uka, over to the West, around the label for Uyuyub’.

Area: Uyuyub’, Kazama’uka (northern area).

Approx Coordinates: X:9.5, Y:9.5

Nearest Aetheryte:
Ok’hanu (X:18, Y:11.8)

Heavy Matamata

I don’t think I’ve seen Matamata since doing Stormblood Hunts (I haven’t done that as a guide yet). They kinda remind me of giant, land-based turtles with a bit of a Triceratops vibe going on.

But I think it only has one horn, so… a Uniceratops?

Where to Find Heavy Matamata

In Kazama’uka, North-east of Ok’hanu, and just North of Ok’bek’be.

Area: Kozama’uka, Ok’bek’be.

Approx Coordinates: X:22.5, Y:12 or X:24.5, Y:8.5

Nearest Aetheryte:
Ok’hanu (X:18, Y:11.8)

Jungle Iguana

It’s a giant iguana. In the jungle. It’s a Jungle Iguana! Fine, fine there are plenty of invented names in FFXIV, I’m allowed a laugh at some obvious ones. And it’s still better than Bloodsucker any day.

Where to Find Jungle Iguanas

They’re around, and a little East of, Earthenshire. They’re pretty hard to miss, to be honest. Despite their shades of green, the purple stripes and, wait, its enormous size, make camouflage impossible.

Area: Earthenshire, Kozama’uka.

Approx Coordinates: X:13.2, Y:30 (assuming no other players are around, there are four near this spot).

Nearest Aetheryte:
Earthenshire, X:11.9, Y:27.7

Jungle Pelican

It’s a Pelican, in a Jungle! Oh, c’mon, I can laugh at stuff here, it’s my blog after all. However, before you look for the distinctly Ziz-like Jungle Pelicans near the Jungle Iguanas, don’t.

Where to Find Jungle Iguanas

The Pelicans are in the northern part of Kozama’uka in the area immediately West of Ok’hanu.

Area: On the way to House of Winds High, Kozama’uka.

Approx Coordinates: X:11.5, Y:12

Nearest Aetheryte:
Ok’hanu (X:18, Y:11.8)

Lesser Apollyon

To those of you who miss fighting that insane, apocalypticExternal Link (Opens in New Window/Tab) bug-demon from the dungeon, you’ll be pleased to know that Lesser Apollyons exist!

They can still pack a punch, though. Or a “bash a buzz”. Not buuz, that’s Garlean food. Man, my brain’s in Tangent Central today.

Crafting Material

At least fighting these versions of Apollyon means you cam grind down their Lesser Apollyon Shell Icon shells and turn them into something more useful. Hopefully, less deadly too.

Where to Find Lesser Apollyons

You can find them North-west of Earthenshire, in a ruin called The Imperious.

Area: Kozama’uka (southern), The Imperious

Nearest Aetheryte:
Earthenshire, X:11.9, Y:27.7

Megamaguey

For those days you fancy being beaten to juicy pulp by a giant pineapple tree, here’s the Megamaguey. Thankfully you can beat it to a juicy pulp and get some Megamaguey Pineapples for crafting!

I also can’t help but read this as “Meega-Mogwai” and remind myself not to feed it after midnight…

Where to Find Megamagueys

There are loads in a really wide area South of Ciblu’s Coffee Grounds. I put some coordinates down, but seriously, you won’t need them.

Area: Urqopacha (northern), near Ciblu’s Coffee Grounds

Approx Coordinates: X:18.2, Y:14.7 (three near this spot)

Nearest Aetheryte:
Wachunpelo X:28, Y:13.2

Molten Phoebad

As I said on MastodonExternal Link (Opens in New Window/Tab), when I see the Molten Phoebad, I can’t help but hear the start of the James Bond theme-tune “Goldfinger”!

The Phoebad are animated rocks in the forms of a head and two hands. This one is red hot and melting, yet the ground it shifts around is cold and unaffected. Maybe the glow is just to scare you away, rather than actually hot. Maybe I’m overthinking it.

Where to Find Molten Phoebad

In an area North of Worlar’s Echo called Naryor Gorna. You’ll find them East of the Bloodsuckers.

Area: Urqopacha (southern), Naryor Gorna.

Approx Coordinates: X:20.5, Y:28.4

Nearest Aetheryte:
Worlar’s Echo (X:30.7, Y:34.1)

Mountain Bear

This was one of the last ones I found because I thought I’d seen them in one place, so never looked in the correct location! The brown Mountain Bears sort-of blend in compared to other Dawntrail Hunt targets.

Where to Find Mountain Bears

From Ciblu’s Coffee Grounds, head South, pass the Megamaguey and you’ll eventually reach them.

They are roughly in the same place as Bandercoeurls.

Area: Chabameki, Urqopacha

Approx Coordinates: X:18.5, Y:17.5

Nearest Aetheryte:
Wachunpelo X:28, Y:13.2

Naryordor

The Naryordor is tree-like enemy, and unlike some on the Beginner Dawn Hunt List, are actually spread quite far apart.

It seems every region and every Reflection has a problem with walking, troublemaking trees. The Old-growth Treant is just one of a good number of similar enemies.

As with their cousins, just steer clear of their AoE attacks. Flints float around nearby too, so just go carefully if you’re roughly on-level.

Area: Between Proof and Sunken Stars, Urqopacha

Approx Coordinates: X:24, Y:28 / X:16, Y:27 / X:16.5, Y:31

Nearest Aetheryte:
Worlar’s Echo: (X:30.7, Y:34.1)

Notocactuar

Well? Is it a Cactuar or is it Not-o-cactuar? I’m confused. It looks very Cactuar-y to me. I’ll stop talking.

Where to Find Notocactuar

Linguistics aside, you can find these critters as you venture West towards Miplu’s Mate Garden. They’re either side of the path just before you reach some of the buildings and fields.

There are more Notocactuars (is that the plural?) than I have placed dots, and sometimes one dot has two or three of these Dawn Hunt targets under it.

Area: Miplu’s Mate Garden, Urqopacha

Approx Coordinates: X:14.5, Y:13.5

Nearest Aetheryte:
Wachunpelo X:28, Y:13.2

Ocelot

Arise, Sir Ocelot! Oh wait, it’s not a Knight, but a pinkish-looking Jungle Coeurl.

It has similar attacks too, so if you are using your Chocobo and are not in tank stance, try to turn it away from your feathered friend. It has one of those multiple-interrupts-in-15-seconds attacks.

Where to Find Ocelots

In northern Kazama’uka, but far to the East, a long way from either Aetheryte. They are not far from the path to Kozanuakyi, a location you will visit in the MSQ, or one you already have!

Area: Kozama’uka (northern), Dock Poga.

Approx Coordinates: X:36.5, Y:15.2

Nearest Aetheryte:
Ok’hanu (X:18, Y:11.8)

Paper Wasp

I’ve only just recently added the Paper Wasp. It turned up in this week’s stack of bills for the first time!

Why it is called a Paper Wasp I’m not sure, but these insects are actually pretty. They glow blue and have other colours like purple and pink on their bodies.

Where to Find Paper Wasps

They’re tucked away in the very South-Eastern tip of Kozama’uka, South of Many Fires

Area: South of Dock Tumu, Kozama’uka

Approx Location: X:37, Y:35

Nearest Aetheryte:
Many Fires (X:32.2, Y:25.5)

Poison Frog

If some Beginner Dawn Hunt targets cannot be missed because they’re huge, you can’t miss the Poison Frogs because there are so many!

I think they drop an alchemy crafting material, so might be one of the few ingredients worth hunting because volume isn’t an issue.

Where Are Poison Frogs?

On the East side of the Miyakabek’zu river. The most northern poisonous frog I found was as far North as the Uyuypoga map label. Honestly, you’d have to try to fail to find them.

Area: Miyakabek’zu, Kozama’uka

Approx Location: Just stick near the eastern bank of the river – they’re from North to South.

Nearest Aetheryte:
Ok’hanu (X:18, Y:11.8)

Rhino Beetle

I know in games everything has to be larger than life, but seriously Rhino beetles need to be closer to the size of a beetle and not a Rhino!

Admittedly, they’re often the source of great Alchemy crafting materials, but still, big bugs!

Where to Find Rhino Beetles

Please look at the red dots on my map! I’ve not yet edited out my “you are here” marker.

Basically, once you stray South and South-West from Ok’hanu, you’ll find them.

Area: Kozama’uka, Ok’hanu.

Approx Coordinates: X:15.5, Y:15

Nearest Aetheryte:
Ok’hanu (X:18, Y:11.8)

Siehnam

Once you’ve seen one, you’ve Sienham all! Terrible puns aside, this enormous goat has a few cousins in FFXIV, one of which is the Megalotragus, a mount you can sometimes earn during Moogle hunt. The last time it was available was the Hunt for Mendacity, but that was only 2023.

Where to Find Siehnams

They actually cover quite a large area West of Icuvlo’s Inn in Urqopacha, a location you visit during the early stages of the Main Scenario Quest MSQ.

Area: Urqopacha, Near Icuvlo’s Inn

Approx Coordinates: X:27, Y:16.5

Nearest Aetheryte:
Wachunpelo X:28, Y:13.2

Silver Lobo

The Silver Lobo is one freak of a creature and, as far as I know, is completely new to FFXIV with Dawntrail.

But, while it is freakish, they are one source of FFXIV Silver Lobo Hide Icon Silver Lobo Hide, a leatherworker crafting material for early Dawntrail recipes.

The other source is the Bicolor Gemstone trader, in case you’re wondering.

Where to Find Silver Lobos

You honestly don’t have to try! Port to Wachunpelo in Urqopacha and leave in a roughly southern, or south-westerly direction and gaze at a hill’s worth of ugly soon-to-be crafting materials!

Area: Urqopacha, near Wachunpelo

Approx Coordinates: X:26, Y:14.5

Nearest Aetheryte:
Wachunpelo X:28, Y:13.2

Stinkshell

The Stinkshell’s name is not ironic. It is one of those “what you read is what you get” warnings. Some of its attacks sound pretty rank, to be honest.

The fact that the difference between a Stinkshell and a Heavy Matamata is that these critters are in the river…really makes me question what is in that river.

I probably don’t want to hear the answer, either.

Area: Kozama’uka, near Ok’bek’be, in the Miyakabek’zu river.

Approx Coordinates: X:26.5, Y:12

Nearest Aetheryte:
Ok’hanu (X:18, Y:11.8)

Swampmonk

I believe my first words on seeing the Swampmonk were “What the heck is that?”. And, I’m still kinda saying it now.

It looks like a biped fish, with wing-like fins and webbed feet. It’s almost like a bird-fish. Now I’ve researched it, I think it’s based on the Sea-monkExternal Link (Opens in New Window/Tab). Well, at least both are freaky.

Where to Find Swampmonks

Naturally, they’re in a watery area in Kozama’uka. You’ll be able to get them once you’ve ventured to Earthenshire in Dawntrail.

Head East from Earthenshire and they’re on the Western shore of the huge lake. You can’t miss them. Unfortunately.

Area: Kozama’uka, Miyakabek’zomi (the Turali Morbols are nearby).

Approx Coordinates: X:19.5, Y:29

Nearest Aetheryte:
Earthenshire, X:11.9, Y:27.7

Tomaton

The first time I found a Tomaton-like enemy earlier in the game, it made me jump in shock. I know there were some in Rak’tika, but I have a feeling it was earlier than that.

These serpentine plants pop out of their jars and wibble-wobble towards you to attack. There are no snake charmers though…nor… “plant-charmers”?

Where to Find Tomaton

Exit Earthenshire and head South-West. The route from there to the Cracked Cistern is littered with them. Sometimes in FFXIV the paths are safe. This is not one of those times.

Area: Urqopacha, between Earthenshire and the Cracked Cistern.

Approx Coordinates: X:7.5, Y:33.5

Nearest Aetheryte:
Earthenshire, X:11.9, Y:27.7

Tulidile

The Tulidile (like Tuliyollal plus Crocodile) is just a Feral Croc in another country.

That includes the weird split-mouth thing that creeps me out any time I look too closely.

Where to Find Tulidiles

Once you’ve started the MSQ part where you go to visit the giants, you’ll be in the right area of Urqopacha.

They’re North of Worlar’s Echo, but you’ll have to go “down and round” to reach that point. They’re west of the Molten Phoebads, in case that helps.

Area: Urqopacha, West of Naryor Gorna.

Approx Coordinates: X:25.9, Y:28.4

Nearest Aetheryte:
Worlar’s Echo (X:30.7, Y:34.1)

Turali Morbol

Why can’t we have one expansion without some type of Morbol? Even the Island Sanctuaries got one (I never found mine, or found out how to ‘get’ it, thankfully)!.

I guess the satisfaction is, at least you get paid to kill a few. You (literally) get paid peanuts – well some nut anyway, but it’s better than nothing. Probably.

Where to Find Turali Morbols

They’re not far from the Swampmonks, so in the low-lying water part of Miyakabek’zomi.

Area: Kozama’uka, Miyakabek’zomi

Approx Coordinates: X:17.7, Y:32.7

Nearest Aetheryte:
Earthenshire (X:11.9, Y:27.7)

Turali Netzach

If you’re thinking that this Turali Netzach creature looks mighty familiar, then you would be 100% correct. One of the bosses of the Dohn MehgExternal Link (Opens in New Window/Tab) dungeon looks like this one.

Before I re-found the name I called it the Tree-Vine-Dragon critter. It’s not far wrong, to be honest!

Where to Find Turali Netzachs

They are found in a smallish area of the map and my dots are places I have found them – but not at precisely the same time. Head West from Earthenshire as though to leave Kozama’uka by that route. Stay North of the path and you should be fine.

Area: near Earthenshire, Kozama’uka

Approx Coordinates: X:9, Y:27.5

Nearest Aetheryte:
Earthenshire (X:11.9, Y:27.7)

Turali Ratel

Right, so I had to look up the overall classification that the Turali Ratel falls in. It’s a MiacidExternal Link (Opens in New Window/Tab) – or “Weasel” in some regions in FFXIV. Any similarities with a real weasel ends pretty much with its name!

They’re weird, glassy-eyed and seem to have a jaw that’s bigger than their heads. Beautiful.

Where to Find Turali Ratels

You can find these South of the Alpacas in the earliest part of Urqopacha.

Area: Urqopacha, South-East of Wachunpelo

Approx Coordinates: X:30, Y:16

Nearest Aetheryte:
Wachunpelo (X:28, Y:13.2)

Uolon

This green, fluffy Uolon is just a fuzzy Goobbue with fuzz to match the similar foes in the Coerthas Western Highlands.

It kinda seems a shame to hunt them, but I guess not everyone appreciates being covered in toxic sneezes?

Where to Find Uolons

They are spread across a wide area North of Ok’hanu in Kazama’uka. You can find them between the Hanu settlement and the road to Tuliyollal.

Most are East of that road, but in case someone else is on the Dawn Hunt at the same time as you, I found a couple on the opposite side.

Area: Uyuyub’, Kozama’uka

Approx Coordinates: X:15.5, Y:7 (but it’s a huge radius!)

Nearest Aetheryte: Ok’hanu (X:18, Y:11.8)

U’out

More enemy recycling when an island continent really should have more unique creatures. The U’out is a not-so-micro Microchu. It’s more along the lines of the Overgrown Offering.

At least you can yell “You…Out!” when you defeat it. If you like. Someone might. *cough*.

Where to Find U’out

These are found in the eastern part of Kozama’uka, over the huge river Miyakabek’zu. If you make a line between the Flight of We Wingless and Stride of the Sun, you’ll find them.

Area: Uyuypoga, Kozama’uka

Approx Coordinates: X:35, Y:17.5

Nearest Aetheryte:
Ok’hanu (X:18, Y:11.8) or Many Fires (X:32.2, Y:25.5), if you have flight enabled in Kazama’uka.

Widowmaker

The first, and most important thing you should remember about the Widowmaker is that it is not a Windowmaker. Yes, I’m talking to myself again (it happens a lot).

I can’t tell you if they make windows in their spare time, but it does seem to be the case that they make widows for their day jobs.

So if you’re married to woman, don’t stray close to these skull-masked, bear-clawed… things.

Where are Widowmakers?

Head West from Many Fires. If you avoid the FATE that can spawn on that path, then you can easily take out your Dawn Hunt targets. That’s because there are some on both sides of that road.

Area: Miyakabek’zoma, Kozama’uka

Approx Coordinates:
X:24.5, Y:27.5
X:34, Y:31

Nearest Aetheryte:
Earthenshire (X:11.9, Y:27.7)

Woodsman

A Woodsman is less tree-like than a Naryordor, but still has branches and root-like structures. Woodsmen appear animated by the stone or crystal formation in them.

Similar enemies do exist elsewhere in FFXIV as well as the Dawn Hunt. I think Yanxia may have some, but I’ll have to check.

Where to Find a Woodsman

If you haven’t got flight yet, it’s a long ride or run. Head East from Ok’hanu and keep going until you’re over the river. Once you are, then head North of Kozanuakiy.

Area: Kozama’uka, Uyuypoga

Approx Coordinates: X:35, Y:7.5

Nearest Aetheryte:
Ok’hanu (X:18, Y:11.8) or Many Fires (X:32.2, Y:25.5), if you have flight enabled in Kazama’uka.

Intermediate Hunt Targets

Once you have reached Level 94 as a Diciple of War or Magic and have completed the MSQ to L94 and have Xak Tural unlocked, you can also unlock intermediate Dawn Hunts.

This is done via the quest Normal Quest Why We Hunt, which you can pick up from Bol Agaw by the Hunt Board (X:13.7, Y:13.6).

Why Bother Doing Dawn Hunts?

In case you’re new to hunts, or you’ve been away a while, here are some reasons doing Dawntrail Hunts may be good for you.

  • Decent EXP: For alternative combat jobs, the Dawn Hunt gives you decent EXP for some relaxed travelling round and beating up a few enemies.
  • Time Filler: If you hate waiting for dungeon/trial/raid queues, then hunts are a good way to fill the time, plus you get rewarded for doing so.
  • Unique Rewards: each FFXIV expansion’s hunt offers unique rewards, decent level gear (or as glamour if you prefer) and other items you cannot obtain in other ways (or are difficult to do so).
  • Everyone Loves Nuts: for some weird reason – but one I am grateful for – Sack of Nuts Sacks of Nuts are acceptable for hunts across the star – and on The First in the Crystarium! So if you do hunts in Dawntrail, you can earn rewards/glamours from older expansions if you want to. And vice-versa for that matter!
  • Travelling Around: If you pick up all the hunt targets available to you, you can see various regions, or parts of regions. Enjoy the views, take some screenshots or and play with /gpose. Enjoy not grinding or not levelling for once.

Targets Still To Add

As it seems pretty much any enemy can be on the Dawn Hunt board, there were a lot to get through. I think I’ve almost covered them all now. If I believed in jinxing, then I’d’ve done exactly that.

TL;DR Enjoy the Dawntrail Hunt alongside questing and the MSQ

You can enjoy a few things at the same time as running the MSQ. Crafting, Role quests, levelling other jobs etc. But Dawntrail Hunts are the easiest, if you pick up cards in the level range you’re questing in.

Dawn Hunts give generous EXP EXP, a bit of Gil Gil and Sack of Nuts sacks of nuts. It is definitely worth your while mixing in Dawntrail Hunt marks with FATEs and side-quests. You’re being paid for hit-and-run on dangerous beasts in Tural? Apart from the occasional eye, blood and dignity, what’s there to lose?
