LOTRO Anniversary Cosmetic (Hooded and Unhooded)

The Cloak of Illumination from the LOTRO Anniversary comes in a hooded and unhooded version and has an unusual design this year.

Description

While not short enough for a half-cloak, the very tips of this cosmetic come to about your knees. And, to be fair, is probably more practical than it brushing your heels anyway!

The cloak is almost kite-shaped, and it has two points, sharing that feature with the front of the Jacket of Illumination.

Lastly, the brownish material has various golden patterns, which are symmetrical (that always pleases me!). But the design is not too busy, keeping enough of the plain cloth visible too.

Hooded Cloak of Illumination

I'm not one for hoods, but this one seems to fit snugly to your head. That's kind of necessary given the whole no-hair-inside-a-hood thing LOTRO have going on. The small neck covering means you could put it with other cloaks and use it in other outfits quite easily, I think.

How Well Does It Dye?

As with the other pieces, the brown dyes very well. I'd almost argue that it looks better dyed, but that's an opinion of tastes rather than objective facts! Here it is in black dye.
