Considering the elegant form of the rest of the Illumination set, the Cap of Illumination feels a bit more rough around the edges. That's not a criticism, though. After all, a hat worn often will look...well...worn.
Cap of Illumination Description
I still haven't fully decided what the base colour is. On the Jacket of Illumination, I've called it deep salmon or wine red. Anyway, most of this cap is in that colour, but it has a pink border and small gold-looking bobble on top.
While the material on the top of your head is smooth (except for some rough stitching), that around your forehead is crumpled. Fluffy? Words escape me. But the texture makes sense for what is clearly a soft hat.
Where Did My Hair Go?
If you're wondering this, you may be newish to LOTRO. When wearing many items of headwear in the game, your hair takes on a "short" style. It's not the only game I've noticed hats and caps handle it this way.
How Well Does It Dye?
As with the Jacket of Illumination, most of it dyes very well. As you can see with the black dye
, the pink border remains.
