The Bardic Fiddle is made from a dark wood and outlined in a lighter one. Four diamond-shaped symbols are carved onto its surface with a leafy pattern at the lower end.
The tooltip description reads:
Strong movements produce forceful notes on this fiddle.
As I have not played a Minstrel in a very long time I can't really add to this description. But I have always liked the care and attention to detail LOTRO give when creating instruments.
Weapon and Cosmetic Weapon
It used to be that, in battle, the instrument used by Minstrels would only be the one in the equipment tab. But quite some time ago, LOTRO made a change that allowed you to equip one type (e.g. one with stats/buffs), but cosmetically equip a different one. This means you can use a fiddle in an outfit while, say, utilising a drum as your weapon.
