Mount Description

Firstly, a thanks to @WayneGWoodsExternal Link (Opens in New Window/Tab) for pointing out I had missed the Yule Festival Snowy Horse.

I had, apparently, been proverbially sat on a screenshot of it since 2020 but it had not made it into my Yule Mounts page. I've now updated it to a 2023 shot.

Snowy Steed Description

Naming Variation

It's doubly confusing because it's called Snowy Steed by the vendor itself (See the WikiExternal Link (Opens in New Window/Tab))! Anyway, this pale horse is one of the older LOTRO Yule mounts, being around since 2011.

Coat/Caparison

However, I still actually rather like the coat it has on.

In season-appropriate blues and whites, its swirls almost appear as snow being blown along the ground by the wind. The snowflake motifs look more like crystallised flowers, which still looks great.

Saddle

Lastly, it has a faux saddle, as was fairly normal for various steeds back then.

I think if this mount had a new horse model put in, it would still be a worthy cosmetic. Sadly the theory can't be tested as there's no War-steed variation for the Yule Festival Snowy Horse.
