Along with the other items in this set, the Gala-Worthy Shoulders just have the feeling of being an ice queen!
I may be overthinking (I'm good at that). But, the use of autumnal leaves and snowflakes on the collarbone area and the tops of the shoulders make me think of seasonal changes. Like Autumn becoming Winter. And that works really well, for this shoulder cosmetic. The shades of brown and blue chosen complement each other really well and clearly highlight the gold and silver patterns.
It's the back, erm, "flap" that put me off using it, even on my Elves. It clearly makes for good wind protection, but I certainly don't feel royal enough to use this item in my outfit designs!
