The Ceremonial Spaulders of Remembrance strikes the perfect balance between the two. I don't mean they make you look like a Half-Orc either, in case you're wondering!
As with the other Ceremonial pieces, the base of these pauldrons is a white-coated metal, edged in something akin to burnt gold. But these "hug" your shoulders really well, so seem both comfortable and practical.
