If you're looking to make boar leather, the Wild Hoglet is the wrong choice. You'll want the Wild Boars. If, however, these are on your FFXIV Hunting Log, then you're in the right place. Or you will be in a moment! As the name suggests, these are smaller/younger versions of the larger boars. These are found North of the Honey Yard, with a couple near a tunnel to the Bramble Patch, so if you've not cleared the Wild Boars, tick the Hoglets off then go get the boars.

Random Hoglet Thoughts
Now, I kinda get why these need population control - but only because I've done a Lancer class quest, and a Sylph reputation FATE involving rampaging boars.
Whether that makes it okay to cull a Wild Hoglet just in case it becomes a rampager is not an ethical discussion to have on a post where you just want to tick an item off your log!
