The Shoalspine Sahagin is a deep purple and red Sahagin, brandishing a trident and shield. They also do not feature in any class hunting logs, nor those you need for Grand Company promotion.
Shoalspine Sahagin Location Description
These are found in the southern portion of the Sapsa Spawning Grounds
in Western La Noscea.
I have put the coordinates as X:14.0, Y:20.9 because this is the entrance to the Sapsa Spawning Grounds. There is one Shoalspine at this gate, but go through and head North to find the others.

Travel to Sapsa
Any time I have to go to the Sapsa Spawning Grounds it always feels like such a trek.
Thankfully, by the time you're clearing out Shoalspine Sahagin for the Book of Skyfire 1, you will have flight in Eorzea unlocked!
So start at the aetheryte in Aleport and fly in. There's a certain irony in attacking sea-borne creatures from the air!
