If LOTRO let you overwrite in-built boots on these tunic sets, I would totally use the Plain Short-Sleeved Tunic and Trousers. I think I have one somewhere in storage still just in case they ever patch that. I love the simplicity of this cosmetic, which is just plain white with some seams/edges of golden thread.
How Well Does It Dye?
I need to double-check this, but my gut reaction is that it's likely to dye very well. I'm pretty sure I've seen players wearing this where it has been dyed black. But I'll verify it for you soonish.
