I don't know about you, but I've always thought this cosmetic was kinda cute, especially on Hobbits (of either gender, for that matter). The Common Short-Sleeved Tunic and Trousers is a well-worn loose short-sleeved shirt under patched and mended blue overalls. While I doubt "denim" existed in Middle-Earth, it has that kind of feel to it.
