Poachers, Hunters - whatever title they have is irrelevant to you. If you're a Goblin Hunter, you are not welcome in the Twelveswood. These funny, yet hardworking folk pop up throughout FFXIV's storylines; some are enemies, some are friends. Right now, you have to beat a few of these senseless to let the Goblins know their activities are not welcome in the Shroud.
Since someone suggested it to me to help my daughter adjust to games, you're not killing them, just sending them off to sleep for a while. Like a proverbial "naughty corner", before they return to their hunting ways!
