Shroud Hare Location in FFXIV
Hunting Log Rank 3

FFXIV Shroud Hare - FF14 Rank 3 Hunting Log Target & a source of Acidic Secretions.

Welcome to my favourite enemy name to hate... the Shroud Hare. I am completely guessing, but I think this giant slug was called that due to its feelers appearing like bunny ears.

It does make me wonder what the Loporrits would make of it being called a "hare"!

Where are Shroud Hares?

There are actually two main areas you can look in the North Shroud. Coordinates below relate to the northern/western-most area marked on the maplet.

Alternatively:

  • The southern area starts at X:20.5, Y:29.5.
  • I hadn't remembered that you can encounter some in the Central ShroudExternal Link (Opens in New Window/Tab) around X:15, Y:24.

Please see also the note on Acidic Secretions.

  • Pugilist: 3

Acidic Secretions

A word of warning, if you're trying to clear Shroud Hares from your Pugilist or Marauder Hunting Logs:

I've had trouble with clearing this occasionally as it's also a hunting ground for crafters wanting Acidic SecretionsExternal Link (Opens in New Window/Tab). Lovely. If someone's defeating them en masse, head to one of the other locations instead. Or clear a different entry and come back.

And if you are that Alchemist, please be conscious of people needing the Shroud Hares for their Hunting Logs. Leafbleed Hares also drop Acidic Secretions, so consider hunting those instead. Thanks.
