The Purple Firefly is one of a three colours available. I'm tempted to say that it's the same colour as the Amethyst Fireflies you can collect during Lightning in a Bottle. But my memory sucks.

Just enjoy the purple-y, amethyst-y light!.

If you're not a fan of the buzzing around your head, trap them inside a glass jar and make them decorate your home instead.

Since 2022's Midsummer Festival, you can acquire the Purple Firefly Lantern decoration!
