Snow-Strider's Steed
LOTRO Yule Festival Mount

Mount Description

In keeping with the Snow-Strider's Clothes, the Snow-Strider's Steed is both practical and quirky.

The horse (or pony) has no barding or décor below the belly. I suspect this is because, if you were taking your steed through the snow, it would move through it easier without being weighed down. What is above the legs is classy, I think.

A Mantle of Its Own

The super-cute thing about the Snow-Strider's Steed is that it has its own scarf! This is in the style of the Mantle, but looks pinned in place by a bright tinklebell.

Weatherproofing

The rest of the barding seems to be fancy, but also weatherproof. If you're out in the cold of winter with your horse, you must look after it as much as yourself. The material is strapped/pinned down with studded strips and other patterns match the Snow-Strider's Clothes.

The saddle is a simple curve so excess snow can slip off - and so can you when you need to.

All-in-all, I like this mount. It's ornate enough to be seasonal, but not overdone so as not to be practical.
