Frosty Steed
LOTRO Yule Festival Mount

Mount Description

The year the Frosty Steed was introduced during Yule Festival, LOTRO opted for a much-darker horse than previous years. But it takes no design genius to realise that, by going for a dark grey creature, the lighter barding and much darker socks show up much better.

Most of the caparison - and nearly all of the steed's mask is cream or near-white, but its snowflakes are dark blue. You can see this clearer on the Wiki's pageExternal Link (Opens in New Window/Tab). This works really well, when the obvious thing is the reverse of those colours. The edge isn't straight either, but forms points a bit like the edge of a snowflake. As the border is a paler blue, the colours work very well together here.

There is no saddle as such, but firmer-looking material is underneath your behind, where a saddle would be. Lastly, you can just make out some fur that rests between the horse and where you are sat. LOTRO even consider the needs of your animals, it seems!
