While I've written more-humourous descriptions for most of the masks available the Farmers Faire, there is one practical use I'm aware of: in-game bands. For example, Les Daft Pigs are a band who wear the Pig Mask during their performances.
If anyone is aware of other groups/contexts that other animal masks are used, please let me know!
