Who says you have to put your pretty jewellery aside when you have to don your armour? Just wear them on the outside then! The Gloves of Crystal Resolve are more like Gauntlets (and I've marked them as such), given they go from your fingers to your elbow.
They appear to be lined with leather and/or cloth for comfort too, which is supported by the fingers being covered in such material. I actually rather like these gloves because they don't encase your fingers in metal, while very much protecting your lower arm. Your elbow is protected by a small shell of plate metal and each gauntlet is finished off by a bright red jewel.
If the Enemy isn't drawn to your sword (or axe, or bow) by the jewel, well, at least you'll have the war of the Magpies on your hands. Well, arms.
